Overview

Tubular Inspection IRIS, NFT, RFT, ECT, ECA (Heat Exchangers, AC, Fin fan coolers)

Eddy Current Testing (ECT)

ECT works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. ECT tube inspection is the High Speed & Fastest way to checking heat exchangers & Condensers nonferromagnetic materials tubes for damages like ID Wall Loss, OD Wall Loss, ID & OD Pitting, ID & OD Corrosion due to stress cracking etc.

Remote field testing (RFT)

RFT is being used to inspect ferromagnetic heat exchanger & condensers tubing since conventional ECT have difficulty in inspecting the full thickness of the tube wall due to the strong skin effect in ferromagnetic materials. RFT can detect ID & OD wall loss, detect localized corrosion/erosion, Pitting etc.

Internal rotary inspection system (IRIS)

Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS) is an ultrasonic technique for testing of heat exchanger/Fin fan cooler tubes to detect the degradation of the tubes due to service induced conditions like localized corrosion / erosion, fretting, gradual wall thinning. IRIS technique can inspect on both types ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic tubes. IRIS technique no negative effect on results caused by external items like fins or baffles.

Magnetic flux leakage (MFL)

MFL technique mostly for testing ferromagnetic material fin tubes of heat exchanger/Cooler to detect the degradation of the tubes and OD finned tubes due to service induced conditions like localized corrosion erosion, fretting, gradual wall thinning. MFL mostly used to inspect finned tubes.

Eddy current array (ECA)

The conventional ECT faces major limitations with respect to detection & sizing of circumferential cracking and extent of volumetric flaws in tubes. Therefore, Eddy Current Array (ECA) along with bobbin probe technology is solution to perform high speed inspection in a single pass. High sensitivity to pitting and circumferential cracking (ID and OD circumferential) crack detection.

Near field testing (NFT)

Near Field Testing technique is a rapid solution intended specifically, for fin-fan carbon-steel tubing inspection. NFT is specifically suited to the detection of internal corrosion, erosion or pitting in carbon steel fin tubing. NFT probes are not affected by the fin geometry on the outside of the tube.
